I came across a new site that launched in China this week. It is called CNCMAX.VODONE.COM and it was founded by two companies, i.e. cncmax and vodone. I wonder they’re the copycat of YouTube and some argued that whatever a site gained a huge success in the U.S. and throughout the world, some companies in China are going to launch a site with the similar ideas there. A famous duo appeared in YouTube before which is Two Chinese Boys “后舍男生” was also featured a new video that entitled, “说唱脸谱” and has been uploaded to this site. To run the video, the users are encouraged to use Internet Explorer and enable the Adobe Player to be installed too.

Obviously, when I saw the headlines “现场直播”、“我要搞笑”、“我要出名”, translate as “live broadcast”, “I want to make fun”, “I want to be famous”, it seems that this site was deployed the same business model as YouTube did in the past in attracting more users to upload their videos to the site. Indeed, I believed China is no longer an Internet auxiliary market, for those big players that would want to penetrating the China Internet market, they need to create a main Chinese site that purposely to serve the specific needs of the Chinese people there. But the big question is how soon those big players including YouTube, would pursuing this kind of business strategy.
