Google Buys Gapminder’s Trendalyzer & Adscape Media

Google has undertook aggressive efforts at growth, by acquiring Gapminder’s Trendalyzer software and Adscape Media today. On the Gapminder’s landing page, they said, “We believe that Google’s acquisition of Trendalyzer will speed up the achievement of this noble goal. Trendalyzer’s developers have left Gapminder to join Google in Mountain View, where Google intends to improve and scale up Trendalyzer, and make it freely available to those who seek access to statistics.” In addition, Marissa Mayer, VP Search Products & User Experience of Google has officially announced the above acquisition of Trendalyzer software.

Trendalyzer’s former software provider, Gapminder was found in February 2005 and its headquarter is based in Stockholm, capital of Sweden.

On the same day, Bernie Stolar, Dean of Games at Adscape Media (now acquired by Google) also announced to joins Google.

“Our charge at Adscape has always been to honor the game that was developed and find new ways to enable that game to continue so others can enjoy it. That’s why we are so stoked to join Google—because these guys get it, and are committed to helping us continue our mission.” Bernie said in a Google’s post.

Adscape Media is a small in-game advertising company that based in San Francisco. They do not stated any detail plan on how the integration between the existing Adscape’s in-game advertising into the Google Advertising platform.

Finally, the terms of these above acquisitions are remained confidential and did not disclose to the public.
