Sk*rt: A Female-Curated News Site Launched

The other day I came across a female-centric site that called Sk*rt, dubbing itself as the “female version of Digg.” When you visit this site, you’ll discover this site is fully occupied by the female’s interests such as around the house, fashion, parenting, food, and etc. Not surprise, this site was also built by using Pligg, a famous content management system that attracted the developers in building the Digg clone. In fact, Sk*rt was founded by four ladies with the various work backgrounds. At the moment, some posts have aroused the traction of their readers, with in-between 20-70 votes on each of them.
I believe this site is relatively new in the market, particularly in view of its domain has been disabled recently, as shown in the below picture.

Thanks for checking out sk*rt. Yes, we’re very new. And in fact, we only went live on Monday. Three days later, we started the switch to an extra-large capacity server at Liquid Web. We hoped that we’d have to do that, but we never guessed we’d need to so soon.
Also, we have not created sk*rt to negate the awesomeness of Digg (We don’t think it’s just for guys…we’re on there everyday!) but to supplement it. That’s all. To fill in some of the gaps that some women might be interested in.
Thanks again for visiting.
