The other day I came across an Internet radio search engine that called TUN3R. It was founded by a Canadian company Conalgo in March this year, upgraded its feature by offering playlists search in May, and always catches my eyes with all the radio station images appeared on its landing page. One can move around the orange needle on top of the radio stations and get to know what is the name of a particular radio station, the songs to be played and the homepage snapshot in the bottom of the page. Moreover, it support a variety of streaming audios such as Real, Windows Media and even FM radio. From the feature of this search engine, I guess it tend to fill a purpose for those who favor of stations browsing. There is more information on their “About” page.
The TUN3R’s business model is truly simple, it encourage the radio stations to buy spaces as well as upload the “dial” images on the TUN3R. Currently, there are approx. 1,400 stations cover over 40 languages to choose from and the music lovers can browse about 25 different musical genres, according to this press release.
