Orkut Launches Photo Albums

Orkut, operated by Google and also a social networking platform that extremely popular in Brazil is launching a new feature called photo albums. As stated by Orkut, this feature allowed Orkut users to better organize their photos into multiple albums with different titles and descriptions, so that when share to friends or watch on Orkut site, there is more value on the photo itself even in the same environment.
Have you notice a trend in social networking sites, some of the social networking platforms seemed to be in the middle of developing some features that enable their users in organize stuff. The word “organize” definitely is very powerful today, more powerful than the word “add”. Since most users joined a social network have the freedom to add friends, add photos, or videos, and now it’s time for us to organize all these things. To exemplify this approach, most recently, Facebook allowed its users to organize their friends into different categories. And now, Orkut launches its photo organizer, i.e. the photo albums.
Since this is the beginning of a new year, I am looking forward to see Google release more feature to this Orkut and continue to make it the most appropriate social networking platform for the users.

Hi,
Thanks for bringing the album stuff thts really cool.
I had a suggestion for you
Can you please introduce a feature which helps us to move a image from one album to another.
If you can do this tht will be really helpful to everyone.

Hi Viren,
Sorry. I tried on Orkut and did not found a way to move an image from one album to another. Meanwhile, there is also no third-party Orkut plugin that enable users to do this. I will keep you informed on this comment column if I find a feature in the future.
Thanks for the suggestion.
