Gmail Opens To All?

gmailsignup

I just came across an interesting article, also from CNET that entitled, “Google opens Gmail to all“. This article that talks about Google has made its Gmail available to the public. In fact, this Gmail account with the storage space of approx. 2.8G, its opening process has previously been approved by invitation only.

However, when I try to open the aforesaid Gmail account after I finished reading the article, the policy of invitation code was still maintained firmly by Google. You also can read why Google didn’t allowed the potential users to sign-up without the invitation code by clicking here.

I wonder the Gmail opens to all the public only available in certain countries, but not in Asia. Additionally, I didn’t found any Google’s press release that announce this news particularly. Inevitably, many of us have received the Gmail account invitation or have been using Gmail for sometime now. For those whom used the email account from other provider, with or without the Gmail invitation, they won’t feel frustrating. But I think Google must take the proactive approach to solve this Gmail invitation problem as I listed in the above.
