Google has expanded its “Transit Trip Planner” service in Canada, and the first release of the Canadian Google Transit covers only Vancouver. The local transit agency that partnered with Google in this offering was TransLink.

As you visited the Google Transit, they currently offered visitors four route options such as Stanley Park to Simon Fraser University, Broadway & Commercial to Main & 49, and etc. The users that plan for local trips on these destinations can thus use the information and schedule the trips without having to go to multiple Web sites.

Started in Japan at 23th April this year, the launched of Google Transit that integrated with the Google Maps’ services is pretty new to the Japanese people, according to nikkei BPnet. Not only the departure and destination station names were input in the service. The availability of shortest route, address and any landmark were also included in this Google Transit Japan. For some destinations such as Tokyo 東京 and Fukuoka 福岡 where the huge demand is there for the public transportation, it is no surprise that Japanese people would use their cell phones to track those transportation information through the offered of Google Transit.
